We believe that how a business operates is inseparable from what it creates, and that meaningful work arises from teams grounded in both excellence and resonance.

At ÉMERGENTE, we translate ecological, feminist, and psychological theory into embodied action, helping founders and teams build businesses, programs, products, and services grounded in integrity. We offer operational leadership and strategic implementation, bringing structure to visionary ideas and transforming them into systems that can sustain true impact.

ÉMERGENTE also serves as a creative and intellectual home for those who exist between worlds, the spiritual and the entrepreneurial, the personal and the collective. Through mentoring, gatherings, and residencies, we nurture a community of entrepreneurs and creatives exploring new ways to live, lead, and work. Together, we experiment with what it means to build in alignment with our bodies, values, and collective futures.

Every collaboration is grounded in the ÉMERGENTE framework: a commitment to how we build. We centre embodiment as the foundation for how we experience, lead, and serve in professional ecosystems. Ultimately, ÉMERGENTE is a studio for nurturing new models of living and working into being.

Values

  • We honour the body as equal to the mind. Our systems, structures, and ways of working are designed to respect the body’s natural capacity, rhythm, and intelligence.

  • We believe everyone deserves equal opportunity, fair recognition, and safety in the places they live and work. We will never engage in or enable exploitative labour practices, and we believe good work should always be paid well.

  • We design businesses and projects with an understanding that everything is interconnected, from our digital footprints to the communities we serve. Sustainability is not optional, it is a shared responsibility that informs every decision we make.

  • Our approach blends spiritual and psychological insight with grounded strategy, inviting a way of leading that is intuitive, inclusive, and regenerative. We value feminine principles such as receptivity, empathy, collaboration, and collective care, as powerful forces for building thriving teams and systems.

  • We believe work should feel nourishing and intentional, never extractive or depleting. Our approach recognises that true productivity emerges from balance. We design ways of working that make space for rest, play, and joy, trusting that when we work in alignment with our nature, our body of work unfolds with greater depth.

About the Founder

That’s Me

Ella Cotterell is the founder of Émergente, a business and creative studio working with women-led founders, teams, and organisations who view business as a site for cultural and spiritual evolution.

With a first-class honours degree in Psychology and extensive experience across startups and government programmes, Ella bridges behavioural science with strategic operations. Her background in rehabilitation, embodiment coaching, and trauma-informed practice shapes her approach to leadership, grounded in both evidence-based approaches and somatic intelligence.

Her work integrates ecological, feminist, and psychological frameworks to help mission-driven organisations design structures that are as effective as they are human.

Ella is also a writer and facilitator whose practice explores identity, social politics, and systems change. Awarded the Peace Psychology Prize for her thesis in 2018, she continues to explore how empathy, activism, and sytems can coexist in building sustainable futures for women and their communities.
